Sports Books on iTunes

US Soccer book by Stephen DentDid you know that iTunes also includes books?! I just found that out and I am shocked! I like to consider myself a computer guy but this just blew my mind. Now I knew about Google books but books on iTunes? No way! This all happened when I was looking my favorite author, how happens to be a guy named Stephen Dent! Well his book, from Minnow to Major, The Story of the Growth of US Soccer really got me back into the sport, which I played as a kid. If found the book on iTunes here: https://itunes.apple.com/us/artist/stephen-dent/id30474978 and more information is found on this page: https://itunes.apple.com/us/book/from-minnow-to-major-story/id903992697?mt=11.

Stephen Dent hits on how the recent World Cup got higher ratings and I can comment on recent events that the USA team is getting more followers and publicity. I mean everyone was watching that summer of 2014 that I know! The recent World Cup was very good for soccer in the US and I can’t wait to 2018, which isn’t that far off. It really feels like the World Cup was yesterday and I remember cheering US on against Germany! Which sadly we lost…

For those interested in the book, Stephen Dent says that the growth of Soccer has already arrived in the States and that U.S Youth soccer participation is increasing. Boy I hope this is true because I always had the dream of going back and coaching young men just like me in the game I love. I mean I have great memories of playing this in New York, a place that I left at a young age but soccer really stands out to me of that time there. Teamwork and ability all collide during the sport and I really got my speed up playing the game. I played left wing and I loved it!

You can also find Stephen Dent’s book on the Barnes and Noble website: http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/from-minnow-to-major-stephen-dent/1120022523.

This is a must read book, folks, for any soccer fan in the US! I read it, I loved it and now I’m recommending it. I’m sure Stephen Dent will need all the help he can get to get the word out about this book. It’s very underrated and you won’t be sorry you bought it!
