  • For filling holes in the shoes, shoe goo is an ideal sealant. You can get it in all skate shops, department stores and also online. Also it can be used to increase the life of your new shoes with it – apply a thin coat of it to the front as well as outer side of the shoes. (However, as it contains some toxic chemicals, shoe goo is controlled in some places).
  • Skating wears out shoes a lot. If you are afraid of this wearing out, because you don’t have money to buy new shoes after the previous ones get worn out, prevent their wearing by applying duct tape on the parts which suffer most of the abuse, i.e. sides and fronts of your front foot, your shoes will become greatly durable.
  • Look if your shoes feature removable sole which let you put your laces under it. Don’t miss to use this feature if your shoes have it.
